Contest Rules and Regulations1. Any business owner within Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont ski areas may join a competition in which their business legitimately provides services or specialization 2. TheLift retains the editorial right to remove any business that has entered a contest incorrectly or has used marketing materials and language that is not in line with the spirit of the contest (see Terms and Conditions). 3. Businesses may use any official promotional materials provided on TheLift to promote their involvement in the 2006 contest. These resources are provided free of charge to all contestants. Any business that manipulates these materials or uses unsanctioned promotional materials will be removed from the contest. 4. Voters can only vote once in each category. Businesses are encouraged to invite their customers to vote online, but any business that attempts to manipulate voting results in any way will be removed from the contest. Our technology closely monitors voting behavior, and businesses will be contacted by contest officials if voting results are in question. 5. Throughout the contest, TheLift will display the top businesses that are leading the voting at that moment. These results will change with each vote and are not intended, nor are they permitted, to be reproduced, printed, or displayed anywhere outside of the official contest site.
