Cross Country: Drink in direct views of 5 mountain ranges and more than 40 named peaks as you cross country ski or snowshoe at the Sunset Hill Nordic Center. Enjoy 30 km of groomed trails and oodles of back country skiing atop our ridge or within our 70 acres. Glide through the woods to the historic Franconia iron mines, or tramp to the top of Ore Hill for a great work out and more fantastic views. Several other Nordic centers in the area offer a great variety for enthusiasts. Ski here one day, ski our neighbor the next...Full rentals for snowshoes (Tubbs) and cross country skis (Atomic) on site. Of course, we have some great escape ski packages.
